The Le Parfait Super Terrine Jars at 500 mL are ideal for pickles, vegetables, bottled fruits, meats and more. They are a great size for pantry storage and salads, soups and stews for work lunches. We use this size a lot for pressure canning baked beans and meats.

Freezer safe - the Terrine jars all have straight sides which taper slightly from top to bottom making it easy to turn out product from them. 

Suitable for both water bath and pressure canning - the curved shape of the Super jars helps to avoid spills with preserves containing a lot of liquid.

Not suitable for the traditional open kettle / hot fill / overflow method.

Perfect for food storage - air tight and leak proof.

Ferment directly in these jars without an additional airlock - the jars self vent as pressure builds up inside the jar.

Included: Each jar comes with the wire hinge and rubber ring. Replacement rubber rings / gaskets are available here.

Size: 500 mL preserving volume / 625 mL overflow capacity

Replacement rubber ring size: 100 mm

Instructions for use:

• The rubber rings are stretched in place onto the lid of the jars - they remain securely in place once fitted
• It is recommended to use a new rubber ring with each preserve / ferment
• If using this jar for food storage, the seals need to be replaced every 6 months to protect the closing mechanism, jar rim and lid from damage (always replace if you see signs of damage too)
